SLP Common Core (SLP-CCORE)® is a goal bank based on research evidence of early communication skills commonly targeted when working with children. It can be adapted to address the specific needs of the individual client and family context.

 

SLP Common CORE includes key areas Speech-Language Pathologists typically target in early intervention (e.g., speech, receptive and expressive language, joint attention, nonverbal communication, imitation). It has been created to ensure the content can be adapted to children with diverse communication support needs, including those with autism.

SLP-CCORE was developed to increase the SLP’s direct client services time by providing a customizable communication goal bank that streamlines the administrative tasks of writing an intervention plan, collecting data, monitoring progress, and report writing. It has been developed by an SLP with extensive expertise in teaching other early intervention professionals how to write client and family-centered goals. SLP-CCORE allows parents and caregivers to have access to the program and reports, making it a secure and effective way of increasing the sharing of information across the client’s team.
